Terri and her Best Friends

This is Blackie

Blackie is 10 years old(March 7) male English Cocker Spaniel and has been with Terri every since he was 12 weeks old. Blackie will do anything for a milk bone. Blackie's favorite thing is to lay next to Terri on the floor and get his tummy rubbed. Blackie is a male English Cocker Spaniel that weighes about 40 pounds. Blackie loves to go walking with Terri in the summer & fall. Blackie's main color is black and he is trimmed with brown and white

Information on the English Cocker Spaniel. The four most important attributes of this breed are looks, love of work, intelligence and devotion. The English Cocker has a flat or slightly waved coat that is very silk and dense. The English Cocker is known for his love and faithfulness to his master and along with his alertness and courage. The ideal height is 16 to 17 inches for males and 15 to 16 inches for females. The ideal weight is 28 to 40 pounds for males and 26 to 38 for females. The characterics of this breed are merry nature with ever-wagging tail that shows a typical bustling movement. The temperament of this breed is gentle and affectionate, yet full of life and exuberance. The average age for a English Cocker Spaniel is between the ages of 12 and 15 years.

This is Dots

Dots (Dottie) is a female dalmatian that is a two years old (12-5-95). Dottie has lived with Terri since she was 8 weeks old. Shortly after joining Terri she was nick named "Runnin with the Devil". Dots would do anything for a rawhide bone to chew on. Dots loves it when anyone will play tug of war with her or play catch in the back yard. Dots spends much of her time in the back yard as she has to keep all the birds out of her yard. Terri and Dots are currently attending training classes. Dots steals the class by giving out Dottie Hugs. Dottie is still growing but weights about 50 pounds at the moment. Of course her spots are still changing at the moment.

Information on the Dalmatian. If you have gained the love and devotion of a spotted dog, you will learn the new meaning for friendship, understanding and companionship through the many years they are at your side. The coat of a dalmatian is short hard and fine with a glossy appearance. The color and marking are the most important part of a dalmatian. The color spots in the black-spotted variety should be dense black; in the liver spotted variety should be liver brown. The spots should not intermingle, but be as round and well defined as possible, the more distinct the better. The spots on the face, head, ears, legs and tail should be smalled than those on the body. The spots on a dalmatian can continue to change up until they are two years old.

This is Oreo

Oreo is a male dalmatian that is three years old . Oreo came to live with Terri until she could find him a good home. As you can see Oreo is still with Terri and will be for a very long time to come. Oreo loves to please and is doing wonderful at his training. Oreo has more black on him then the normal dalmatian. He loves attention and normally smiles at Terri every morning when she see him and when she return from work. Oreo weights about 90 pounds and is very solid. Terri is not really sure when Oreo's birthday is but it is celebtrated on November 23 the day that Oreo joined the household.

The price you pay for your dog is little compared to the love and devotion he or she will return over the many years you will be with them. With proper care and affection, your dog can live to be very old; thanks to modern veterinary science and improvements in canine nutrition, dogs today are better maintained and love longer. It is not uncommon to see dogs living well into their teens. Over all speaking, smaller dogs will live longer than big dogs. With love and proper care any dog will live to its optimum age.
